Tribal One Construction in Eugene, OR is looking to hire a full-time Licensed Journeyman Limited Energy Technician to join our construction team. A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A LICENSED JOURNEYMAN LIMITED ENERGY TECHNICIAN As an LEA or LEB licensed journeyman electrician, you play a key role in providing limited energy electrical work for our company. You are responsible for acting as the on-site coordinator and crew supervisor for voice and data installation projects. By maintaining the efficiency of staff, you ensure that each job is completed according to company and customer quality and safety requirements. You coordinate daily tasks according to priorities and plans while making changes when necessary due to supply, delivery, and personnel requirements.
In order to meet project schedules and deadlines, you ensure that adequate resources and staff are in place as well as properly trained on the safe use of tools, machinery, and equipment. In addition, you develop and manage project budgets and quality standards for all assigned sites. Using your superb communication skills, you are able to resolve any conflicts that arise as well as provide status reports to your team and supervisors in a timely manner.
Other tasks you are responsible for include installing telecommunications equipment, routers, switches, multiplexors, cable trays, and alarm and fire suppression systems. You build cable trays and ladder racks as well as establish connections, including programming features. While on the job, you always ensure that you are upholding industry standards and that all work is conducted according to safety procedures and guidelines. QUALIFICATIONS FOR A LICENSED JOURNEYMAN LIMITED ENERGY TECHNICIAN High school diploma or equivalent 3+ years of experience as a journeyman electrician Hold an LEA or LEB license Successful completion of all federal government background security checks and clearances upon hire Valid driver's license Ability to review and process project proposals, personnel requirements, equipment, and cabling specifications Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays to support a project if needed Knowledge about telecommunications voice and data systems, voice and data cabling, and cabling infrastructure Knowledge about Local Area Network concepts and how to test from a data port to the workstation Knowledge about technology, including MS Office products and using a PC to conduct business Having a BICSI certification is preferred but multiple factors will be taken into consideration.
