*** Newly Licensed Nurse Assistants and Healthcare Students encouraged to apply.*** Under the administrative direction of the Nurse Manager and Practice Manager, the LNA will assist in the care of patients in the ambulatory clinic.
Responsibilities include:
Perform proper patient identification in accordance with HIPAA and proper hand washing procedures. Escort patients to exam rooms and prepare for examination/procedure, being aware of age, language barriers, and physical limitations. Document patient-reported data collection, medication review, past medical and surgical history, and chronic health maintenance. Obtain and document patient vital signs. Maintain chart information that is up-to-date, organized, and in compliance with Health Information Services (HIS) requirements. Perform various tasks to ensure the clinic is well supplied, including ordering and obtaining supplies, and re-stocking supplies. Maintain a clean and safe environment by caring for and cleaning clinic equipment, maintaining cleanliness of exam rooms, work areas, and keeping hallways clear of equipment. Participate in low-level disinfection, infection prevention, and employ safety standards. Assist provider with exams and procedures, as necessary. Ensure proper handling and labeling of specimens. Responsible for cleaning exam rooms, checking expiration dates, and completing the outdate calendars. Perform proper donning and doffing of PPE and assist others in the process. Meet expectations for performance based on compliance with all departmental standards, policies, and procedures. Education (Minimum Needed): High school graduation required.
Experience (Minimum Needed): Previous hospital or ambulatory experience preferred.
Specific Skills and/or Knowledge Needed For Performance of Job: Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to handle confidential material with maturity, sensitivity, and discretion. Must demonstrate keyboarding skills and be familiar with computer use. Licenses/ Certifications: Licensed Nursing Assistant in the State of NH required. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certificate required.
