A Master Plumber is dedicated to implementing a wide range of plumbing skills in the field. In this role, you will be actively involved in hands-on training of Apprentice Plumbers, contributing to the establishment of our plumbing department as a leader in Austin. Your responsibilities will include coaching, technical training, conducting ride-alongs, performing site visits, and inspections.
RESPONSIBILITIES: Operate a van with an apprentice, responding to residential service calls, all managed through Service Titan with a company-provided iPad. The van will be equipped with power tools, and you can take the vehicle home. Prioritize customer satisfaction in every task. Collaborate with HVAC and Electrical technicians within the SALT team. Function as one of the plumbing experts, showcasing your skills and knowledge. Train and teach your Apprentice, fostering their development. Demonstrate strong character and uphold company values. Collaborate effectively with the team. QUALIFICATIONS: Valid Plumbing License Valid Driver's License Expertise and technical proficiency as a Master Plumber Progressive working history Willingness to impart plumbing best practices and techniques to others Contributing to the development and leadership of the growing plumbing team Successful completion of a drug screening and background check Service Titan Experience Residential Service Experience PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Work both indoors and outdoors. Exposure to very hot or very cold temperatures. Proximity to hazardous conditions, equipment, and situations. Work with sharp tools and electricity, with potential for cuts or burns. Wear safety attire, including goggles or other protective clothing. Exposure to uncomfortable and distracting noise levels. Exposure to very bright or inadequate lighting conditions. Ability to climb ladders and work from roofs and scaffolding. Work around exposed contaminants. Ability to work in cramped workplaces, such as crawl spaces under floors. SCHEDULE: Availability to work Monday- Friday anywhere between 7:00AM-3:30pm (or until daily task are complete) SALARY: Salary is commensurate with experience and knowledge.
