Schedule This will be your standing schedule. We are looking for a RT that can work the following schedule below consistently.
4-6 hours per shift; maybe up to 8 hours depending on caseload Saturday and Sunday Respiratory Therapist (RT) Looking for a full-time talented and motivated Respiratory Therapist to join our dynamic team. The position is within a Skilled Nursing facility. Candidate should possess passion for the geriatric population, must hold a license in the state of practice, be able to evaluate and treat independently without direct supervision, and possess the desire to perform functional therapeutic activities to assist residents in improving their experience.
Job Description Completes assessments and implements respiratory techniques to maintain and progress the rehab patients with various respiratory illnesses/diseases and non-respiratory illnesses. Initiate therapies, maintain patient records, operate, check, and assemble equipment. Complete a variety of bedside treatments. Complete in-services for nursing staff every quarter. Responsible for completing daily, weekly, and monthly documentation. Attend applicable IDT meetings. Experience with tracheotomy. Experience in a long-term care setting. Follow procedures and protocols of the facility. Completes tracking, auditing, and caseload management. Performs related duties as required. Described in the Departmental Policy and Procedure Manual in these areas of skilled interventions: Oxygen weaning therapy Omniflow – Biofeedback Group respiratory therapy Standardized respiratory testing Aerosol therapy IPPB therapy Incentive Spirometry Chest physiotherapy Deep breathing and coughing Bronchial hygiene therapy PEP therapy Postural Drainage Positioning Oro/Naso-pharyngeal suctioning Airway clearance/management techniques Trachea-bronchial suctioning Tracheostomy care Spirometry Bedside Testing CPAP/BIPAP High-Flow Oxygen Cardiac Program Pulmonary Program Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS: Graduate of COARC accredited AS or BS Respiratory program. Licensed as RRT or CRT. Licensed in the state in which practicing BLS certification.
