Company Name: Osseo Job Description Description: We are looking for someone to help and support our scholars in achieving their dreams by providing accounting support to our Division of Leadership, Teaching, and Learning. Your role as the PK-12 Operations Accountant will involve managing the financial aspects of DLTL, including researching and analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and performing important accounting tasks. Job Summary: Your main responsibilities will include:- Assisting with the development and monitoring of the annual budget.- Documenting financial transactions and preparing balance sheets.- Substantiating financial transactions through auditing.- Maintaining accounting controls and recommending policies and procedures.- Providing accurate financial information to department heads.- Conducting financial analysis through research and data analysis.- Verifying compliance with financial accounting standards.- Supporting resource allocation processes.- Assisting with accounting for special funded projects and categorical aid.- Coordinating accounting tasks with DLTL leaders.- Keeping up-to-date with accounting policies and regulations.- Performing other assigned duties. Qualifications : - College graduate with a major in accounting, business administration or related field.- Three years of proven success in accounting, including budgeting and financial analysis.- Extensive skills in accounting and related fields.- Ability to maintain the general accounting function.- Working knowledge of computerized accounting systems.- Knowledge of governmental accounting preferred.- Knowledge of education financial rules and regulations preferred.
