Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center is looking to add Licensed Veterinary Technicians to our specialty departments!

The Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center is a specialty practice comprised of board certified and residency trained doctors, licensed veterinary technicians, and support teams who are highly trained in Cardiology, Internal Medicine, Oncology, Ophthalmology, Surgery, Neurology, Physical Rehabilitation, Anesthesia/Pain Management, and Radiology.

About the job:The primary role of the Veterinary Technician is to provide excellent care to the patients of Las Vegas Veterinary Specialty Center, as well as assist the veterinarian and other medical staff, and upkeep of facility and equipment.

How you'll make a difference:Perform all essential duties of a Veterinary TechnicianProvide support to all veterinarians, often assisting more than one on your shiftMonitor and appropriately document patient vital signs and activity based on positionObtain and prepare samples for diagnostic testingProvide diagnostic, surgical and nursing care to all patientsProperly use and maintain medical equipmentProvide professional client communicationHelp keep hospital areas clean and neat, maintain a safe and clean work environmentMaintain client and patient confidentialityMeet or exceed performance standards for work quality and productivityMeet or exceed LVVSC expectations for attendance and punctualityAct as an ambassador of LVVSC at all times, displaying consideration, courtesy, compassion, and professionalismOther duties vary based on role and department What you will bring:Experience working as a Licensed Veterinary Technician in a general practice, preference will be given to those with experience within a veterinary specialty hospital setting.Ability to work in a highly collaborative environment and commitment to develop long term relationships with colleagues, clients, and the community we serveReliable, organized, and committed to providing high level care to our patients and clientsA craving for lifelong learning and continuous improvementsExcellent communication and organizational skills are required, and the ability to deliver exceptional client service is expectedHonesty, integrity, and a desire to have fun! Schedule:Full-time position - typically 10 or 12 hour shifts and schedule may include weekdays, weekends, days, and evenings. One weekend shift available (Sat or Sun) may be required based on department.

Salary:Starting wage $27/hour or more, depending on experience
