Based in Audubon, Pennsylvania, the LiDAR Analyst will report to the General Manager, Transportation, Transit & Rail and will have a wide range of duties which ultimately focus on land surveying and mapping project management. You will be part of team that offers a full range of traditional surveying and mapping services to private and public sector clients across PA and neighboring states. What You'll Do: The LiDAR Analyst will be part of the Transportation, Transit & Rail team at TULLOCH Mapping. You will: Develop and apply detailed workflows to generate 3D point clouds from field acquired laser scanning dataWork in a fast-paced team environment to complete tasks accurately and efficientlyPerform scanning in the field and processing of data in the officeConvert scanned files from raw format to client specified formatRegister photogrammetry mesh models from drone or stationary camerasCommunicate effectively across a broad range of stakeholders and adapt styles to meet the needs of technical team members and executivesDetermine issues and risks and proactively work with the team to forecast and resolve challengesIdentify, test, and implement new hardware and software tech to increase productivity and results with a calculable ROIPlease note that this job description is not meant to be an all-inclusive statement of every duty and responsibility that will ever be required of an employee in the job. Who You Are: You have 3+ years of progressive experience working in Laser Scanning acquisition, registration, and processing point cloud data3+ years experience in 2D and 3D feature extraction and modelingSurveying or related background is preferredSoftware experience: AutoCAD, Microstation, TopoDOT, FARO Scene, BIM ModelingAbility to pass background and random drug/alcohol screenings for client requirementsProficiency compiling daily reports using Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)Familiarity with FARO, VLX, GeoSlam, UAS LiDAR equipmentMust be authorized to work in the USA What You Should Bring: The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree or higher in GIS, Geography, Geospatial, Geodesign, Planning, Remote Sensing, or a related program.
