Position OverviewWe are seeking a mission-aligned person to serve as our General Manager while stewarding our evolution into an independent nonprofit entity.
This position will report directly to the executive director and collaborate with a small team of staff, volunteer ambassadors, and, eventually, board members and advisors.
This role will have the opportunity to shape the future of our organization and our impact on our community.
An entrepreneurial disposition to 'wear many hats, learn new things and get stuff done' is important.
This is a full-time opportunity, with some flexibility (32-40 hrs/week).
While some management aspects of this role can be accomplished remotely, the majority of the responsibilities require a physical hands-on presence in the space to support our team, members and guests.
Responsibilities:Lead Collaborativelywith our team and partners to align all operations, communications, and programming with our mission, goals and culture.
Lead by example.Customer Service: Ensure all members receive high-quality customer service and support.Create a warm inspiring environment where our members and guests feel they belong.Operations Management: Oversee daily business operations in collaboration with the team.
Continually develop and refinesystemsto improve business operations and member experience.
Accountable for maintenance of the Lift's physical assets and amenities.Community Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with members, fostering a vibrant community environment.
Manage weekly and monthly communications to our community.Community Benefit Programming.
Facilitate and promote programs and events that benefit our regional community by encouraging learning, wellness, connection, and professional growth (e.g.
Climate Hub, Learning Lunches, Entrepreneurs Roundtable)Sales, Marketing, and Communications: Develop and implement strategies to attract and retain individual, non-profit, and enterprise clients.
Manage the website, print media and social channels in collaboration with others.Financial Management: Manage the P&L and budget, prepare financial reports and forecasts in collaboration with the executive director and other team members.Systemization:Implement new processes and technologies to improve operational efficiency and member experience.Strategic Planning & Project Management: Contribute to long-term planning and strategy.
Explore and test new programs to serve members and the community (e.g.
