POSITION SUMMARY
This position requires a person who enjoys performing a variety of tasks in a fast-paced atmosphere. They must be a quick learner and have the confidence and ability to deal with people in an effective and professional manner. One of the main responsibilities of the Dispatcher will be to manage phone-to-radio communications between the lift crews, lift supervisors and lift maintenance.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES Assist guests and co-workers in a positive, helpful, and courteous mannerManage the Lift Dispatch program and documentation, including monitoring radios, phones, and ignitionUpdate web information related to grooming and open lifts / trails. Work with snow reporting team to compile, record, and send snow and grooming reportsAssist with managing our guest research program and responding to comments pertaining to lift operationsAssist with recording and updating operational documentation including, operational matrix, lift phone directory / lift, locker room book, and compiling notes from meetingsAssist with hiring and onboarding for the lift operations departmentAssist with employee timekeeping correcting and recording missed punchesAssist with department / employee communication, through email, beekeeper, bulletin boards, and digital displaysManage Lift Operations / employee record keeping, scan and shred documents, protect confidential / sensitive informationComplete administrative tasks including, taking and conveying messages, issuing day passes for vendors, contact vendors for office machine repairs, make office signs and banners, office supply management and inventoryAssist with coverage at the lifts and ticket checking support as neededCompliance with all company policies and procedures as well as any regulatory requirementsOther duties as assigned REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Outgoing personality and ability to deal well with peopleCan work independently with minimum supervisionDetail oriented and generate accurate workHigh level of organizational skills, prioritize and recognize urgent situationsComputer experience, proficient typing familiar with Microsoft office productsPrevious clerical or lift experience beneficial, but not requiredInteract and maintain positive relationships with guests, coworkers and management consistent with Steamboat Ski & Resort Corp Service Excellence standards EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS High school diploma or GED equivalent
The base hourly pay range below represents the low and high end of the Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's hourly pay range for this position. Actual pay will vary and may be above or below the range based on various factors including but not limited to experience, education, training, location, merit system, quantity or quality of production, responsibilities, and regular and/or necessary travel. The range listed is just one component of Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include many region-specific benefits.
Steamboat Springs area base hourly pay range: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS Must be a minimum of 18 years of ageBe able to lift and carry up to 30lbs.Ability to ski / snowboard, helpfulMust sit for long periods of timeMust negotiate stairs and occasionally carry boxes of suppliesMust be able to read, write, and verbally communicate clearly in the English Language
