Job Details:

We are seeking an experienced Permanent Litigation Associate to join our dynamic insurance defense team.
This is a unique opportunity for a highly motivated individual to play an integral role in our fast-paced, growing firm.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling all aspects of insurance defense litigation from inception to resolution.
The role demands a high level of professionalism, an exceptional understanding of insurance coverage and first-party claims, and a strong commitment to client service.


Responsibilities:

As a Permanent Litigation Associate, your duties will include but are not limited to:

1.
Handling a caseload of primarily insurance defense cases, from inception through trial or resolution.
2.
Drafting pleadings, motions, and appellate documents, and filing them with the court.
3.
Performing legal research and analysis, both to prepare for cases and to advise clients on legal rights, obligations, and risks.
4.
Representing clients in court hearings, depositions, mediations, and arbitrations.
5.
Negotiating settlements on behalf of clients.
6.
Communicating effectively with clients, opposing counsel, judicial officers, and team members.
7.
Reviewing insurance policies, investigating claims, and providing legal advice on insurance coverage issues.
8.
Keeping up to date with the latest legal trends, case law, and regulations in insurance defense litigation.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this role, you must possess the following qualifications:

1.
Juris Doctorate (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
2.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance defense litigation.
3.
Admission to the state bar and in good standing.
4.
Demonstrated experience in insurance coverage and first-party claims.
5.
Strong academic record.
6.
Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
7.
Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
8.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, manage multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.
9.
Proficiency in legal research tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
10.
Strong commitment to ethics and integrity.
