Responsibilities
• Transport live chickens from poultry farms to processing plant• Make pre-trip and post-trip inspections of truck and trailer• Fill out DOT inspection forms at end of each trip• Drive to and from farms, making 1 to 4 trips day and night• Carry cover during winter and assist with covering load when temperature is below 30 degrees• Cross scale with tractor and trailer before going to farms• Fill trucks with fuel before scaling the full load• Secure empty modulers before leaving plant• Secure full modulers before returning• Follow all relevant requirements provided by company Safety department
Requirements
• High School or equivalent education• 2 years of experience• Reading, writing, and math skills required• Valid commercial driver's license (class A) required
Key Skills Needed
• Valid commercial driver's license (class A)• Ability to fill out DOT inspection forms• Basic reading, writing, and math skills
