Job Description
A busy professional family is seeking a dedicated and proactive Nanny/House Manager to join their household.
This role requires someone who can take initiative, handle household tasks, and provide engaging care for two children, ages almost 1 and 4 years old.
The position starts with light housekeeping, including vacuuming, laundry, meal prepping by chopping vegetables, taking out the kitchen trash, and emptying the dishwasher.
The nanny will also run errands and work on organization projects, such as going through the fridge or taking inventory of household items.
During the day, the children's grandmother is often present, helping with household duties and preparing dinner.
She has played a significant role in raising their first child and continues to assist as needed, particularly with the baby, while also balancing her own activities.
The nanny will need to be comfortable working alongside her, as she is actively involved in the household and supportive during doctor's appointments or other errands.
The family is primarily practices a vegetarian diet, and have a separate microwave and space for the nanny to prepare their own meals, particularly if they include meat.
They are looking for someone proactive, with positive energy, who can take the lead in household tasks and caregiving, and ultimately become a part of the family.
The position offers a regular schedule from 1:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Monday through Friday, with occasional additional hours on Saturdays or Sundays (every 6-7 weeks) and during date nights or work events, extending the hours to around 9:00 PM.
Flexibility is also required when the children are sick, with coverage needed from 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
The family is easygoing and accommodating, wanting to ensure the nanny feels appreciated and respected.
While the previous nanny did not receive paid vacation, the family is committed to creating a better experience for their new nanny.
