THE JOB We are seeking a General Manager to oversee business operations at Fillmore Seattle ensuring that the venue and all related matters operate within the scope of Live Nation standards, policies and procedures.
WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO Establish and maintain high standards of customer service for staff, customers and vendorsIdentify and maximize revenue drivers while optimizing the overall guest and artist experiencePossess excellent working knowledge and oversight of Health & Safety and Security plans and protocolsOversee Recruiting, training, scheduling, and motivation of a highly skilled and functioning team of full and part-time staffManage team to high standard through clear communication of goals and expectationsCreate and maintain a positive venue culture with employees, guests, and visiting artistsCollaborate with all departments and divisions including Marketing, Premium Seat Sales, Food and Beverage, Ancillary Sales, Security, and Sponsorship teams to create innovative offerings that drive incremental revenue growth, fan and partner engagement, safety, and profitabilityResponsible for meeting staffing levels and budget targets of concertsManage relationship with State and municipal governmentsCreate and maintain positive interactions and partnerships with landlord and building management, local business, and homeowner organizationsOversee food and beverage performance and strategies (point of sale ratio, variety, etc.)Develop and implement best practices for traffic, parking operations, and pedestrian queuingDay to day management of all venue vendors/subcontractors, possibly including but not limited to HVAC, Plumbing, Electrical, Cleaning, Security, Trash/RecyclingWork with legal department on contracts and insurance requirements for all outside contractors and vendorsPromote and establish ticketed venue rental eventsOversee operations and budgets of Special Events including those related to charities, government, conventions, and large-scale happenings including sports championships and conventionsWork closely with Live Nation promoters and Venue Nation Operations management and provide direction on standards and compliance to venue teamCoordinate and facilitate event set-up with Operations Manager and teamOversee implementation of Live Nation policies and procedure and protocols, including those related to security, system of authority, and accountingPerform and execute timely financial Flash Reports after events. Understand and perform event settlement functionsCreate and update event and venue budget forecasts, including operational and production expenses and ancillary revenue streams.Implement and comply with the company's audit proceduresEnsure that employee performance is monitored and reviewedManage employee attendance recordsThis position typically supervises many exempt and non-exempt positionsResponsible for meeting staffing levels and budget targets for each eventEnsures advance contact for each show with tour/event production managers. Fulfills requirements with input on budget from Talent booking divisionPerforms or confirms advance contact with tour/event security directors.
