Job Description

We have one full-time day/eve & some per diem positions available within our Memory Care Unit.

Full-time
Day 6:45 a.m. - 7:15 p.m. (80 hours per pay period)
Limited Per Diem Roles
We offer the following differentials in addition to the hourly rate of pay:
Evening $3.00 per hour
Night $5.00 per hour
Weekend $2.00 per hour (in addition to applicable shift differentials)
A sign-on bonus of

up to $7,500

is available Licensed Nurse Assistants. Subject to applicable taxes, the bonus is paid in three installments: 1st after 90 days, 2nd after one year, and 3rd after two years. Bonus recipients must commit to continuous full-time or part-time employment in an eligible position for two years with Porter Medical Center. Please note that current University of Vermont Health Network employees are excluded from eligibility for this bonus.
Positions of 20 or more hours per week are eligible for FULL benefits including but not limited to: Medical Insurance, Dental Insurance, Vision Insurance, Life and Disability Insurance, 403(b) plan with employer contribution, and time-off plans.
Job Summary
Our Licensed Nursing Assistants are responsible for working collaboratively under the direction of the Unit Nurse to deliver basic personal care support and specific aspects of patient care. Responsive communication, respect, and support to our residents are the central features of this position.

Education
LNA license with the State of Vermont,

About the Memory Care Unit
Memory Care is designed to meet the changing needs of individuals as they experience the progression of symptoms and increases in cognitive loss associated with a diagnosis of dementia. Our early stage program offers activity-based care in a warm, supportive and safe environment with a primary goal of helping individuals maintain dignity, purpose and functional ability. This highly specialized unit is staffed with very dedicated advocates and team members. Residents in this unit are the most vulnerable, usually unable to advocate for themselves.
