Position Purpose: The Loan Assistant, under direct supervision of the SVP/Commercial Lender, will provide administrative support to lender(s) and will engage in direct customer contact in order to assist the lender(s) in providing outstanding customer service.
Will serve as the primary contact person between the customer and the Bank for loan inquiries and transactions on a daily basis and will answer questions, processes transactions, research problems, prepare new loan packages, extensions, or renewals, assist in loan closings, and provide follow-up information required for loan files.
This position will float between Front Royal and Strasburg
Essential Duties:
Timely preparation of Abrigo input for all new loan requests and maturing loans Prepare loan packages to include commitment letters, etc. Order appraisals and/or evaluations Maintain regular correspondence with the Doc Center to assure timely loan closings Organization, packaging and verification of accuracy of all loan documentation for submission to loan Operations Develop routine processes, including telephone calls, e-mails and letters, to manage collection of updated borrower financial information Establish routine processes to assure timely processing (renewal, non-renewal, demand) of maturing loans prior to maturity Support lender in collections of past due loans through all forms of customer correspondence (telephone, e-mail, letters) Provide lender with weekly reports summarizing loan closings, loans in process, documentation exceptions, past dues, past due financial statements Provide lender with monthly reports summarizing maturing loans, profitable relationships, largest loan and deposit customers, loan customers without deposit accounts Utilization of DNB, Vamanet, Vertical IQ and other prospecting tools to identify potential bank customers Initiation of timely post-closing contact with commercial loan customers to verify receipt of anticipated documents and billings (coupon book or notice) Receive walk-in customers and handles telephone inquiries regarding loans and related matters Assist lender with decisioning of daily overdrafts Coordinate title bring down requests, receipt of title endorsements, scheduling of site inspection, and approval by EVP/Senior Lender to assure timely response to construction loan advance requests Prepares credit line advances and pay downs, as well as performs account research and error corrections as directed by lender(s) Attendance: Reporting to work on time and on scheduled day at your scheduled location. Training: Microsoft Office experience required Principals of Banking coursework preferred Loan administrative experience strongly preferred Knowledge of the lending function strongly preferred Bank Secrecy Act Privacy Act Compliance training as assigned Training provided on bank software to include ABRIGO SYNAPSIS DNB XPERIENCE/SILVERLAKE Communication:
Excellent communication skills are necessary with both the public and internal peers.

Working Conditions:
Job is performed in an office environment with the majority of time spent stationary at a desk.
Occasionally files and other documents weighing up to 25 lbs, will need to be transported.
