Loan Collection Manager Location Indian Land, SC : Salary Range: $70,100 - $83,220 **Hybrid** Sharonview is looking for a Loan Collection Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, is optimistic, and is exceptional at customer service to join our team.
Essential Responsibilities: Monitor and supervise the collection efforts of all past-due debt obligations. Assess and implement department procedures and processes to ensure compliance with organizational objectives and regulatory requirements. Ensure the credit union's policy on recoveries is followed and in accordance with state and federal regulations. Perform daily collection activities on all delinquent loans. Exercise sound independent judgment when recommending actions on delinquent accounts beyond routine collections. Implement and execute all management-approved decisions. Develop and maintain working vendor partnerships and Service Level Agreements. Communicate and work with vendors to identify and rectify system issues. Be the subject matter expert for departmental systems and processes, including, but not limited to, the loan/ collection/servicing system, investor loan delivery system(s), accounting system(s), and core servicing system(s). Carries out supervisory responsibilities for collection staff in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Coordinate staff members' activities to ensure a smooth and efficient department that reduces the number of overlooked cases. Motivate and provide direction and leadership, emphasizing excellence in member service, collaborative communication, positive teamwork, and achieving team goals. Establish goals for team members and provide the team with tools and resources to meet or exceed goals. Perform quality assurance via call monitoring to ensure that the highest degree of service and quality has been met. Education & Experience Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required. 3 years of loan collections or loss mitigation experience is required. 3 years of supervisory/managerial experience in collections, lending, and/or compliance is required. Experience with accounting software such as General Ledgers and advanced knowledge of MS Excel is a plus. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Must be proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word). Extensive knowledge of FCRA, collection laws, and all applicable state and federal regulations. Demonstrated collections and recovery proficiency and product knowledge. Strong understanding of repossessions, collateral remarketing, and asset liquidation. Strong people management skills; able to build and foster teamwork; coach, train, and develop. Ability to work with employees at all levels. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to explain programs, loan terms, features, policies, and procedures. Strong leadership, relationship-building, and creative problem-solving skills. Demonstrated track record of exceeding established goals and providing excellent customer service. Strong attention to detail, excellent organizational and time management skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, changing environment. Excellent problem identification, issue resolution, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Ability to compile data and analyze financial information for decision-making and legal purposes. Embrace ongoing education and learn/apply new skills and software applications. Regular attendance and punctuality are essential functions of the job. Ability to always maintain a high level of confidentiality. Physical Demands Hybrid role, which requires the ability to report to the office as requested. Remaining in a stationary position, standing, or sitting for prolonged periods. Work requires the ability to speak and hear on a consistent basis. Communicate with others to exchange information via voice, email, teams, etc. Repeating motions that may include the wrists, hands, and/or fingers. Heavy use of computers.
