Locomotive Driver

As Aurizon continues to thrive in 2024, we are currently seeking qualified Locomotive Drivers to be based at our Avon (Northam) depot in Western Australia on a full-time arrangement. This residential role will be suited to an individual who is able to display superior teamwork skills, flexibility, a high level of safety awareness and excellent customer service.
About the role:
Operation of locomotives including mainline, shunting, and marshalling.
Examine and certify trains as ready for departure.
Work in accordance with Aurizon's safety and operational standards and procedures.
Maintain a high level of on-time running.
Prepare and conduct brake testing on locomotives.
Provide high quality customer service to enable Aurizon to meet its set business objectives.

About you:
Strong commitment to safety and the Aurizon Safety Strategy "I Know Safe, I Choose Safe".
Must be available to work 24/7 shift roster.
Experience in WA Safe working System is advantageous.
Extensive freight and/or heavy haulage locomotive driving experience.
A certificate IV in Rail Operations.
Current unrestricted Class C drivers' licence.
