About the role:
Aurizon is currently looking for a qualified Electrical Tradesperson (Locomotive Maintainer) to join our Willowburn maintenance depot in Toowoomba for a 12 month fixed term contract. Working on Locomotives within a well organised workshop this is a great opportunity to be part of a stable organisation that values both its people and safety alike. Working a rotating roster, you will get the unique experience to work on our locomotive fleet and have great work / life balance.
You will be responsible for:
Performing complex troubleshooting, fault rectification duties, repairs, modifications, and preventative maintenance procedures on rollingstock.
Utilising and inputting accurate data into information and maintenance management systems (SAP).
Assisting with the implementation and development of quality improvement in the area to enhance customer service.
About you:
Must hold an Electrical Trade Certificate.
A strong commitment to safety and the "I Know Safe, I choose Safe" principal.
Heavy industry maintenance background highly regarded.
Mobile Plant equipment experience (preferred).
High level skill in trouble shooting, fault rectification & preventative maintenance of rollingstock (preferred).
Adequate level of skill in interpreting technical instructions and drawings
Sound computer literacy.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
