About The Position We are seeking a qualified Pediatrician to provide locum tenens coverage at an outpatient clinic in California. This locum tenens opportunity offers an ideal work-life balance with a manageable patient volume, no on-call responsibilities, and a three-day-per-week schedule. Position Overview: Position Type: Locum Tenens Work Schedule: 3 days per week (8:30 AM - 5:00 PM) Patient Demographics: Newborn to 18 years old Patient Volume: 18-21 patients per day Support Staff: Medical Assistants (MAs) Job Responsibilities: Provide high-quality, patient-centered pediatric care for children from newborn to 18 years old. Diagnose and treat a wide variety of pediatric conditions. Ensure that patient care is consistent with the clinic's guidelines and standards of care. Work closely with Medical Assistants to ensure smooth patient flow and efficient use of clinic resources. Complete charting and documentation using the clinic's NextGen EMR system. No call responsibilities: this is strictly an outpatient, daytime schedule. Position Requirements: Board Certification/Board Eligibility (BC/BE) in Pediatrics or Family Health. Active DEA License. BLS Certification. Prior experience with outpatient care in pediatric settings is preferred, though not required.
