Locum Tenens Physician Assistant - Clinic Family Practice - $110 Per Hour

TheraEx Staffing Services - APP is seeking a Physician Assistant Clinic Family Practice for a locum tenens job in Whittier, California.

• Pay: $110 Hr.
• Coverage dates: ASAP – 3 Months with option to extend.
• Setting: Clinic, Family Medicine: All ages, Internal Medicine: Adult only
• Schedule: Monday - Friday - 1:00PM - 9:30PM - No Weekends, No Holidays
• Call Schedule/Responsibilities: No Call – 1PM--9:30pm; Monday – Friday
• Setting: Clinic Patients - Same Day Access Needs – Will be handling patients that have a Primary Care Physician but need to be seen. Patients are scheduled. Shouldn't have a lot of walk-in patients. Primary Care setting, but needs a candidate with some Urgent Care EXP due to the high acuity of patients at this location– Colds, Flu, Coughs, Rashes, Diabetes, Blood pressure, etc.
• Daily Responsibilities: All Ages – Mostly Teens to Adults, Flu, Cold, common outpatient clinic coverage; Some providers see Peds but up to the comfort of the APP, meaning they will consider adult only
• Patients per shift: Estimated 24 Patients per day once ramped; (12 Patients per 4-hour block). Will work in basket work as well (Emails, Follow-ups, etc.).
• EMR: Epic
• Support Staff: Physicians, other NPs, and MA's/LVN's
• Credentialing timeframe: Estimated 90 Days - 12 weeks from time provider submits application.
Requirements:
• Active unrestricted CA License & Furnishing License
• Active BLS certifications
• MUST HAVE URGENT CARE EXPERIENCE – HIGH ACUITY
• Minimum 3 years of experience
• Vaccination Requirement: Required with Booster
• Board Certified - Certified Physician Assistant ONLY
• Full-time coverage is mandatory—no deviations from the requested schedule will be accepted.
• Must be able to provide at least 2 supervisory references.
