Locums Hospitalist Nocturnist Physician

We are currently seeking a Locums Hospitalist - Nocturnist Physician to provide coverage in Southbridge, Massachusetts for a select group of shifts in December. In this role, the nocturnist will oversee a patient load of 60-70 inpatients, including 6 ICU beds. The provider will handle 5-8 admissions per night, depending on the emergency room (ER) volume, though this number may vary with census fluctuations. Responsibilities do not include procedures, as the Emergency Department team and PIC team are available for line placements. The Respiratory team manages ICU rounding, vent management, and intubations, with eICU video consults available in all rooms. As part of the hospital's code team, the nocturnist will also collaborate closely on urgent care needs. Coverage during the night is supplemented by one swing provider until midnight, after which the nocturnist takes full responsibility.
Schedule and Coverage Shifts: 7 PM - 7 AMDates: December 24, 25, 26, and 27Support Structure: The nocturnist works with a swing provider until 12 AM, then assumes full shift responsibilities for the night.Requirements: Board Certified in Internal Medicine or Family MedicineCurrent CSR and DEA licenseAbility to manage patient admissions and collaborate with ICU and ER teamsWillingness to function as part of the hospital's code team
