Locum Tenens Obstetrician/Gynecologist – Near Columbia, TNWe are seeking a Board Certified Obstetrician/Gynecologist for a locum tenens position near Columbia, TN. Start Date: ASAP - OngoingCoverage Type: Call-onlyShift Type: 24-hour call coverageDuties and Responsibilities:Inpatient Care: Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care in an inpatient setting.Call Coverage: Be available for 24-hour call coverage, handling admissions, consultations, and patient care as needed.Admissions: Manage admissions and oversee patient care in the hospital environment.Rounding: Responsible for rounding on nursery patients as required.Required Skills and Procedures:OB/GYN Expertise: Deliver routine obstetric and gynecological care, including handling various procedures and emergency situations.Patient Volume: Manage approximately 2 patients per shift.Procedures: Perform typical OB/GYN procedures, with a focus on inpatient care.Certification and Licensing:Board Certification: Required in Obstetrics and Gynecology. Fellowship training preferred but not mandatory.State License: Must hold an active Tennessee medical license.Certifications: BLS and ACLS certifications required.Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 7 days.EMR Systems: Familiarity with eCW and MedHost is preferred.Additional Information:Hospital Bed Capacity: 16 beds in the department.Support: The department is supported by experienced staff and has the necessary resources for effective patient care.Temporary Privileges: Available to expedite the onboarding process.
