Logistics Company in Chicago, Ill seeking a logistic specialist.
Primary Responsibilities:
Daily Coordination:
Manage material orders, reception, stock management, and warehousing operations.
Proactive Communication:
Notify internal MARKEN departments about material delays, stock distribution, and deviations, including Project Management, Logistics, Kit Production, and Branch Management.
Collaboration:
Work closely with the distribution department and kit production coordinator to schedule outbound shipments and prepare transport documentation.
Support:
Assist other departments as necessary.
Pricing and Sourcing:
Provide pricing information and source specific materials.
Client Collaboration:
Maintain close cooperation with clients on warehouse and sourcing management.
Inventory Management:
Conduct stock counting and inventory control checks; receive and inspect goods.
Process Improvement:
Identify opportunities for process enhancements, cost savings, and cost avoidance.
Compliance:
Develop, review, and revise Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) as needed; adhere to MARKEN policies and quality standards.
Safety:
Follow health and safety policies, handle substances with care, and immediately report any safety concerns.
Qualifications:
Education/Experience:
Secondary school diploma or equivalent experience.
Skills and Knowledge:
Customer Orientation:
Strong customer service skills.
Regulatory Knowledge:
Familiarity with IATA regulations, including the Transportation of Dangerous Goods, if applicable.
Technical Skills:
Proficiency in proprietary software, Internet, and MS Office applications.
Problem-Solving:
Ability to identify and address operational problems.
Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills for conveying and clarifying routine information.
Teamwork:
Capability to work independently or as part of a team.
Organization:
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Attention to Detail:
High level of attentiveness and cooperativeness.
