Description




SAIC is seeking a Logistician II to support the US Navy in Crane, IN.




This position will provide logistics and facility support at multiple locations at NSWC Crane, with responsibility for ensuring the efficient movement of material for multiple customers in a production environment.




JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:




Handle and maintain the flow of materials in warehouses according to established standards


Verifies material received against record of shipment, inspects and reports discrepancies and any obvious defects


Interfaces with customer on the planning and forecasting of material to meet multiple productions schedules


Ensures standard practices and procedures are followed in connection with all material and facility functions


Respond to internal and external data calls independently and with a short turnaround


Manage and maintain deliverables and communications both internal and across external facing stakeholders and organizations




Qualifications




REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:




Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience; Masters and 1 year experience; Additional experience in lieu of degree will be accepted


Experience with Material Movement, Supply and Provisioning, and Packaging, Handling, Storage, and Transportation


Demonstrated ability to perform research, execute transactions and track material in databases.


Material Handling Equipment (forklift, hand truck, overhead crane, etc.)
experience required


Works well in small team environment and helps other team members when needed to ensure the group's deliverables are completed


The ideal candidate must be able to operate in a fast-paced, work environment and operate independently and collaboratively to accomplish deliverables




DESIRED EXPERIENCE:




Experience using Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Integrated Product Data Management (iPDM) tools




REQUIRED CLEARANCE:




No clearance required to interview.
Interim Secret clearance required to start with the ability to obtain a full secret clearance.
SAIC will sponsor clearance process


Must be a US Citizen




Covid Policy: SAIC does not require COVID-19 vaccinations or boosters.
Customer site vaccination requirements must be followed when work is performed at a customer site.
