Job Description:
DT Professional Services is seeking a Junior Logistician to join our team in beautiful Oceanside, California! The candidate will analyze and coordinate our supply chain and oversee activities related to purchasing, transportation, inventory, and warehousing. You will organize and direct the movement of goods, and equipment, including manufacturing components, consumer products, and military personnel and supplies.
The successful Logistician will choose, integrate, and implement software for systems that help them to plan and track product movement and use these systems to manage the company's data and administrative functions, such as for procurement, etc. There is required travel for this position – an estimated 10 days of travel per year.
Responsibilities:Oversee product acquisitionDirect the allocation of materials, supplies, and productsForecast and direct the alignment of a product's demand and supply flowsMonitor and manage product riskManage business systems, including their selection and implementationReview logistical functions and identify areas for improvementServe as a liaison between an organization and its suppliers or customersPropose strategies to minimize costs or time required to deliver goodsOversee comprehensive logistical support tasks encompassing asset management, inventory control, configuration, and change management for advanced radio and networking equipment.Basic Qualifications:Must possess an active DoD issued Secret ClearanceMust possess for Comptia Security+ certificate or ability to obtain within 60 days of hireMust possess a valid CA driver's license (a company car will be provided)Ability to lift up to 50lbs with easeAbility to communicate effectively with clients, and must be a team playerDemonstrated ability to work and coordinate with a team across multiple disciplines Advanced troubleshooting skillsThe compensation for this position: $65,000 annually.
