About the Role:
As a Logistics Compliance Specialist, you'll play a key role in ensuring that all freight pick-ups and deliveries are scheduled and executed seamlessly while keeping costs reasonable. You'll have the opportunity to coordinate and oversee domestic air and ground shipments, handle document preparation, booking, and customs clearance, and much more.
Responsibilities:
Publish and distribute daily reports to stakeholders to communicate potential issues.
Track freight movements across multiple transportation segments.
Implement transportation coverage and identify distressed shipments, escalating as needed.
Collaborate with operations and customer service teams to ensure the best outcomes.
Maintain our in-house Transportation Management System (TMS) and build relationships with transportation partners.
Qualifications:
3+ years' experience in an operations setting within the transportation and logistics industry.
Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook and intermediate skills in Microsoft Excel.
Experience with Transportation Management Systems (TMS) or the ability to navigate multiple carrier websites.
Ability to handle multiple issues, prioritize effectively, and meet customer service expectations.
Bonus points for freight forwarding or dispatching experience and familiarity with import/export procedures.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent, plus relevant work experience.
