Responsibilities Develop integrated logistics support plans which address all the principal elements of total life-cycle planning for program.
Identify critical maintenance problems and take corrective actions or preventative measures.
Identify, plan, source, and implement maintenance concepts, operations, and requirements.
Analyze and evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of the supply system with respect to both logistic and operational readiness.
Participate in special studies or projects for the PM to resolve critical supply, or system sustainment problems requiring Command attention.
Identify the cause of existing or potential supply problems take corrective action or preventative measures.
Manage assigned programs to meet program cost, schedule, and performance.
Monitor the logistics support analysis program to assure definition of support criteria.
Develop or coordinate scopes of work for logistics support, with maintenance and supply, from concept through production.
Participate in the systems engineering process to influence the design throughout the life cycle, facilitating supportability to maximize the availability, Coordinates the development of system information for use in establishing qualitative and quantitative requirements in program equipment Represents the Program Manager at logistics meetings both with industry and with other Government Agencies, including higher authority.

Position is designated non-critical sensitive as defined in DoD 5200.2-R.
This requires that a personnel security investigation be adjudicated on a pre-appointment basis which may take up to 90 days or longer to process.
