We are searching for a qualified Logistics Planner for our LMD Operation Team.
The position is located at Fontana, CA.
Job Summary Logistics Planners are primarily responsible to building shipments and arranging transportation with our service providers for all outbound shipments.
Utilizing TMS (Transportation Management System), LMD(Last Mile Delivery) Sys.
and various reports, the planner will be responsible for efficient arrangement of shipments to ensure timely pickup and delivery to customers.
A qualified candidate would be someone who can perform under pressure, has root cause analysis skills, is a proactive team player, and provide quality customer service to our clients.
The most successful Logistics Planners tend to have a genuine curiosity towards business, especially sales.
Their curiosity guides them to maintain good relationships with clients, carriers and customers which consequentially creates value for our company.
Duties and Responsibilities: Utilize Microsoft Excel, Outlook, TMS to build, schedule and tender loads based on required delivery dates, needed transit and equipment capacity.Schedule or re-schedule pickup and delivery appointments with carriers and customers.Manipulate load size and routes in a cost-effective manner.Provide service updates and answer inquiries from clients, carriers and customers.Daily communication with carriers and warehouses to ensure loads stay on schedule.Manipulate data so that it is interpretable for planning and problem solving. Requirements Genuine curiosity towards business and/or Supply ChainBachelor's degree or equivalent preferred1+ years data entry (required)1+ years of customer service in logistics/transportation/supply chain/procurementExperience with Microsoft Excel, Powerpoint (intermediate or advanced preferred)Experience with enterprise systems (Transportation/Warehouse Management Systems preferred) Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite : Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPointStrong verbal and written communication skillsAttention to detail especially when looking at dataAbility to manage multiple tasks and prioritize time-sensitive situationsStrong organizational skills especially when determining prioritiesProblem solving and critical thinking skills Job Type: full-time
