The Tanker Trucking Recruiter is responsible for sourcing, screening, and hiring qualified drivers to meet the staffing needs of the tanker trucking company. This role involves developing recruitment strategies, managing candidate pipelines, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure a steady supply of skilled drivers. The Tanker Trucking Recruiter plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and reliable workforce to support the company's operations.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment Strategy Development:
Develop and implement recruitment strategies to attract qualified tanker truck drivers, including advertising, networking, and outreach efforts.
Identify target recruitment channels, such as job boards, social media platforms, industry events, and trucking schools.
Collaborate with marketing and communications teams to create compelling recruitment materials and campaigns.
Candidate Sourcing and Screening:
Proactively source and engage potential candidates through various channels, including online job boards, professional networks, and referrals.
Review resumes, applications, and driver qualifications to identify suitable candidates for tanker truck driving positions.
Conduct pre-screening interviews and assessments to evaluate candidates' driving experience, skills, and qualifications.
Driver Selection and Hiring:
Coordinate with hiring managers and operations teams to assess staffing needs and prioritize recruitment efforts accordingly.
Schedule and conduct interviews with candidates to assess their fit for tanker truck driving roles.
Verify driver credentials, including licenses, endorsements, and driving records, to ensure compliance with company and regulatory requirements.
Extend job offers to qualified candidates and facilitate the onboarding process, including orientation, training, and paperwork.
Relationship Management:
Build and maintain relationships with driver candidates, providing regular updates and feedback throughout the recruitment process.
Collaborate with driver retention teams to address concerns, provide support, and promote a positive employee experience.
Cultivate partnerships with trucking schools, driving academies, and industry associations to expand recruitment networks and pipelines.
Data Management and Reporting:
Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of candidate information, applications, and hiring activity in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
Generate recruitment metrics and reports to track key performance indicators (KPIs), such as time-to-fill, conversion rates, and cost per hire.
Analyze recruitment data to identify trends, insights, and opportunities for process improvement.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
Previous experience in recruitment, talent acquisition, or driver recruiting within the transportation industry.
Knowledge of tanker trucking regulations, safety standards, and industry-specific requirements (preferred).
Familiarity with recruitment tools and technologies, such as ATS software, job boards, and social media platforms.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and build rapport with diverse candidate populations.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
Results-oriented mindset with a focus on driving recruitment outcomes and achieving hiring targets.
