As a sales associate, you will start your day by reviewing and identifying new freight opportunities. You will contact clients regularly to keep deals moving and negotiate pricing. Additionally, you will connect with our internal teams to ensure smooth operations and follow up with existing partners to capitalize on additional opportunities. Each day, you will find new and exciting challenges that allow you to make an impact.

Find and book freight for company equipment.Work with customers to negotiate pricing, ensuring profitability.Enter loads into the transportation management system (TMS) and collaborate with the customer service team to share load information.Maintain and expand relationships with existing customers to expand business opportunities.Develop and build strong relationships with new customers to cultivate new business opportunities. Proven time management skills, with the ability to succeed in a fast-paced environment with changing deadlines and priorities.Exceptional interpersonal skills, capable of building and maintaining strong customer relationships.Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to deliver clear, concise, and accurate information. High School Diploma or GED equivalent.Employment is contingent upon completion of the SPD employment process (including a background check). 1+ year(s) of experience in a sales position, preferably within the transportation environment. Salary: $25.00 per hour.Schedule: Full-time on-site. Insurance: Medical, Dental, Vision, and Life.Additional Health Benefits: Health Savings Account and Flexible Spending Accounts.Retirement: 401(k) with a 4% match.Paid Time Off: Two weeks of vacation and paid sick leave. #spdtalent
