Daikin Comfort is seeking a professional, skilled individual for our Logistics Supervisor role. The Logistics Supervisor is responsible for supervising the operations and distribution functions of the warehouse. Supervises activities of those engaged in the movement of finished goods, parts and inventory control activities. Proactively engages with management and employees to improve operational processes and maintains a safe and clean work environment for all employees.
About DTTP Daikin Texas Technology Park has a footprint of 4.23 million square feet under a single roof, and is the third largest factory in the United States. Opened in 2017 as the manufacturing, logistics, and engineering center for Daikin's American subsidiary Goodman, the plant makes heating and air conditioning products sold under the Goodman, Amana, and Daikin brands.

Benefits are effective on day one for all full-time direct hires.Training programs are available to help guide team members and develop new skills.Growth Opportunities - there are immense opportunities to grow your career.You will be part of a Global Company - our family brands are backed by Daikin Industries, Ltd.—an organization that brings opportunity to over 60,000 employees worldwide.Position Responsibilities may include: Check operation status report for daily shipments both inbound and outbound to ensure manpower levels are assigned to meet daily volume.Train, develop and mentor all employees including issuing discipline when appropriate.Track daily, weekly, and monthly KPIs and ensure KPIs are communicated within the operation.Ensure all processes and procedures are documented and followed.Manage safety and housekeeping procedures that result in a clean and safe working environment.Manage logistic incident investigations and implement corrective action measures in line with job responsibilities and results of the investigation.Provide a communication network between direct reports and middle and upper management.Encourage and lead team members to work in a safe manner and to seek improvement in work practices for their benefit.Responsible for maintaining a high level of inventory accuracy for all product classes.Ensure all MHE is always in proper working order.Other duties as assigned by warehouse management.Nature and Scope: Coordinates and supervises the daily activities of a support, production or operations team.Sets priorities for the team to ensure task completion.Decisions and problem-solving are guided by policies, procedures and business plan; receives guidance and oversight from manager.Accountable for the support or production operations team including subordinate work leaders.Typically, does not spend more than 20% of one's time performing the work supervised.Knowledge and Skills: Exceptional leadership skills and the ability to motivate people to perform at high levels and within established timelines.Working knowledge of warehouse management systems within warehouse environments.Intermediate MS Office (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word), basic math skills to include adding, subtracting, multiplication and division.Effective relationship management skills for both internal and external customers.Strong problem-solving skills and ability to react quickly to resolve problems.Self-motivated, positive attitude, high-energy individual who can multitask well.Must be quality conscious, process and customer oriented.Effective organizational and time management skills.Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with others toward mutual objectives and able to influence across non-direct reports on cross-functional teams.Familiarity with 5S, Lean principles and Kaizen.Must be able to work in inclement weather, weekends, late evenings, and overtime during the peak season.Experience: 5 plus years of progressive experience preferably within a high-volume DC environment.2 plus years of leadership experience.Education: Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.Physical Requirements / Working Environment: Must be able to perform essential responsibilities with or without reasonable accommodations.Qualified Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States.
