TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Long-Term Care RN in Miles City, Montana, 59301 About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Extended Care Job Specialty: Extended Care Job Duration: 10 weeks Shift: Night - 12x3 - 7 PM to 7 AM - 36 Hours Guaranteed Hours: 36.00 per week Experience: Minimum years of experience not specified License: Current license as a Registered Nurse in the state of practice Certifications: BLS - American Heart Association Must-Have: - Ability to read and write to fulfill documentation requirements - Skills in patient education and discharge planning - Competence in wound care and medication administration - Experience in documentation and content management systems Job Description: - Utilize an interpersonal process that focuses on the individual's role in their family, culture, and society. - Apply the nursing process, which includes assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation. - Fulfill a resident advocacy role by ensuring the resident or their representative has adequate information to make health decisions. - Ensure quality of resident care meets legal and professional standards. - Complete holistic, age-specific admission history, physical assessment, and nursing plan of care. - Analyze and incorporate clinical data to formulate an individualized plan of care. - Identify and document residents at risk for nutritional and functional status. - Identify and report signs/symptoms of neglect/abuse related to child, domestic, or elder abuse. - Set priorities for and review daily plan of care in collaboration with resident, family/significant others, and other healthcare disciplines. - Communicate with physicians to ensure coordination of medical and nursing care plans. - Demonstrate competence in performing technical skills and managing urgent/emergent resident care situations. - Provide education to residents and families based on assessment, in collaboration and coordination with interdisciplinary team members. - Identify and document discharge planning needs and coordinate or delegate discharge activities. - Maintain knowledge of regulations so that documentation supports compliance and reflects resident status. - Incorporate resident needs and preferences into organized, efficient delivery of care by the assigned team. - Supervise, coach, counsel, and evaluate the performance of assigned C.N.A. staff. - Fulfill physical demands including standing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, lifting, carrying, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, typing, and filing.
