Hospice nurses provide end of life care to help ensure the comfort and quality of life for their patients.
They primarily work in collaborative, team-driven environments that require frequent communication with their patients, families and other caregivers.
The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, patient and calm.

Responsibilities:
Duties and Responsibilities Responsible for assisting the Care Group Managers in the overall patient/family direct care function.Interacts with management, physicians and field staff utilizing a teamwork approach
Qualifications:
Education/Regulatory Requirements:Current license to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Florida.Current Basic Life Support Certification.30 hour IV Certification preferred.Hospice Certification preferred.Skills:Minimum experience of one year in public health, home nursing care, oncology nursing, medical/surgical nursing, geriatric nursing or Hospice nursing.Understanding of the ability to apply the characteristics of hospice nursing, case management, crisis intervention, communication skills, thanatology skills and needs.Basic computer skills and EMR software experience a plus.Adequate and reliable means of transportation with adequate insurance and valid Florida drivers license.Professional Requirements:Able to communicate effectively with other Hospice care personnel.
Able to coordinate with other health care providers in the delivery of patient care.Able to work effectively with lay and professional volunteers.Language Skills:Bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred.
