Job summary
The LPN Float Nurse is responsible for assisting the Director of Nursing and Executive Director in the day-to-day operation of the residence support servicesThe nurse must not leave the Community during their shift and may be assigned other dutiesMust be a graduate of a state accredited Nursing school and licensed as an LPN or RN

Responsibilities
• Store and manage resident medications in compliance with regulations• Assist residents with taking medications in compliance with physician's orders• Manage the health care of all residents and perform ongoing assessments of their needs• Observe and record condition changes and reactions, and notify the appropriate individuals• Respond to life-saving situations based on current standards• Coordinate health care needs of residents during their shift• Provide direct supervision to Resident Services Assistants and Certified Nursing Assistants• Keep the Director of Nursing and Executive Director informed of significant changes
Requirements
• Graduate of a state accredited Nursing school• Licensed as an LPN or RN in the state• Current CPR Certification• Prefer experience with the elderly in a nursing home or assisted living setting• Ability to read, interpret, and follow safety rules and procedures• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence• Effective verbal and written communication skills• Ability to adhere to policies and instructions set forth by the company• Physical requirements: ability to exert force, constant standing and walking, lifting and carrying, bending and turning, finger and hand dexterity, visual and hearing acuity, basic mathematical computations
