• Exercise independent discretion in giving selected care• Plan, coordinate, and supervise nursing care on assigned unit• Teach and evaluate nursing care• Interact positively with elderly and/or handicapped• Work with residents and personnel in other departments• Maintain positive attitude in hectic and stressful situations• Familiarity with state and accrediting agency requirements for long term care• Recognize each resident's personal dignity and worth• Adhere to high standards and ethical standards• Communicate well with co-workers, residents, and families
