The Sisters of St. Joseph are accepting applications for a Full-time (32 hours/week) LPN available to work the daylight (6:30 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.) and evening shifts (2:30 - 11 p.m.).

Our LPNs are part of a team that provides compassionate care for retired Sisters in their beautiful, historic home (which they refer to as the Motherhouse.)

Wages start at $26.75/hour

Some essential duties include:
* Deliver hands-on nursing care in accordance with the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing and assumes Charge Nurse responsibilities for any scheduled shift.
* Provide optimal care and safety by making rounds throughout the supportive living area every hour to assess the Sisters' needs.
* Serve in both the LPN and nursing assistant capacity aides as available, including the following tasks:
* Provides dignified hygienic care to Sisters requiring assistance on an as needed basis.
* Provides optimal care and safety by making rounds throughout the supportive living area every hour to assess the Sisters' needs.
* Assists with household tasks, e.g., making bed, changing linens, laundry.
* Pass meds, give injections, check blood pressure, and give treatment as ordered.
* As needed, completes a variety of aide-type functions.
* All other duties as assigned.
*Qualifications Required:*
* High school diploma or equivalent; at least 18 years of age
* Completion of a Practical Nursing Program approved by the PA State Board of Nursing
* Current PA LPN license
* 6-12 months of experience in a personal care or nursing home working with elders
* Self-motivated and compassionate
* Good verbal and written communication skills effectively interact with Sisters, families and other staff members
* Must be reliable and dependable
* Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, perform one person transfer under routine and emergency situations, re-position a patient alone, and be able to sit, stand, bend, stoop, kneel, pull climb, reach, lift and perform repetitive movements of the upper extremities
* Must have flexibility to work different shifts
*Qualifications Preferred*:
* Long-term care experience
* Basic computer skills
* Trained in first aid/CPR procedures
Candidates must pass criminal clearances and a pre-employment drug screen.
