Position overview:
The nurse is responsible for working with other healthcare professionals to help treat patients with various injuries, illnesses, or disabilities.
Their duties include communicating with doctors and other Registered Nurses about patient needs, administering IVs and medications to aid their patients' health and using medical equipment to monitor patients' vital signs.
Responsibilities:
•Supports the mission, core values and goals of the organization, upholding and promoting company culture and vision.
•Creates an environment of accountability through leadership and management practices utilizing the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS).
•Completes all hours of state mandated continuing education each year.
•Promotes and displays a spirit of teamwork in performance of daily duties through cooperative interactions with co-workers and other departments.
•Supports a positive and professional image through actions and dress.
•Promotes the property in a positive manner and effectively communicates the organization's values to residents, visitors, co-workers, and the community.
•Assist in the direction, coordination and evaluation of nursing care services provided to the residents.
•Perform physical examinations and diagnostic tests.
•Collect patient health history.
•Counsel and educate patients and their families on treatment plans.
•Implementation nursing services, objections, and standards; resolving resident care issues.
•Complete resident charting as required.
•Administer medication, change wound dressings and care for the other treatment options.
•Read and interpret patient information, making treatment decisions when appropriate.
•Consult with supervisors and doctors to decide on the best treatment plan for the patient.
•Research ways to improve healthcare processes and improve patient outcomes.
•Performs other duties consistent with the position as assigned.
Qualifications:
•Licensed as a Registered Nurse and in good standing with the Board of Nursing.
•Two (2) years' experience in long-term care preferred.
•Must have excellent computer skills.
•Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•Able to follow all established Federal, State and Local rules, regulations, and guidelines.
•Must have a strong understanding of the English language, sufficient to speak, read and write.
