Job Summary
The LPN is responsible for assisting the Registered Nurse (RN) is assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the patient care.
The LPN is accountable for all patients assigned to him/her according to established policies and procedures of Avera St Mary's Hospital and the scope of practice of the licensed practical nurse.
Carries out other responsibilities as delegated by Unit Supervisor.
Education and/or Experience
Participates in educational opportunities and updates and maintains current professional clinical competency related to areas of responsibilities.
Completion of an approved Hemodialysis treatment course.
Licensure/Certification/Registration
Graduate from an approved licensed practical school of nursing with current practical nursing licensure in the State of South Dakota.
ACLS certification is highly recommended.
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required for all patient care staff.

Varied shifts as needed; PRN
Pay
The hourly range for this position is listed below. Actual hourly rate dependent upon experience.
$25.25 - $36.50 per hour
