Responsibilities include:
Collection of patient health data and safe delivery and documentation of selected acts such as administration of treatments and medications.Collecting data either directly or telephonically in a systematic and ongoing manner based on patient responses to treatments, medications, and changes in condition.Implementation of patient care and patient education following provider orders or under the guidance of a registered nurse, incorporating knowledge of patient's age and cultural diversity.Ensuring that care delivered is safe and meets the requirements of the Florida Nurse Practice Act, licensure, regulatory agencies, and Lee Health policies and procedures.Professional communication, patient education, and collaboration with other health care team members to achieve desired patient outcomes.RequirementsEducational Requirements Required: High School Diploma or EquivalentPreferred: Graduate of accredited Practical/Vocational Nursing ProgramExperience Required: Less than 1 year of Physician Practice/Outpatient experienceState of Florida Licensure Requirements Required: Licensed Practical NurseCertifications/Registration Requirements Required: BLS (American Heart Association / Basic Life Support)Other Requirements Above average written and verbal communication skills.
