Job Summary and Qualifications
Provides nursing care for the comfort and well being of patients. Administers prescribed medications, including IV solutions, and nutrition. Changes dressings and provides wound care. Documents care delivery, patient condition, reaction and progress. Reinforces patient and family teaching/counseling. What you will do in this role:
Provide direct, evidence-based care to patients as directed by the physician or RN.Provide direct, evidence-based care to patients as directed by the physician or RN.Assist with procedures, monitoring, or other functions as directed.Perform lab and procedural tests within the LVN/LPN scope of practice, after demonstrating competency.Document the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.Serve as a resource to department staff, students and volunteers to help deliver quality patient care.What qualifications you will need:
Required Education: Accredited LPN ProgramRequired License: Licensed Practical / Vocational Nurse (LPN / LVN)Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start dateHighlands-Cashiers Hospital is a community hospital serving Macon, Jackson and the surrounding counties. Located between the towns of Highlands and Cashiers, the hospital offers 24/7 emergency care, acute inpatient care, rehabilitation, as well as long-term care through Eckerd Living Center. Ambulatory services are also available, including therapy services and primary care. Highlands-Cashiers Hospital has more than 24 beds for acute care services and 80+ beds in the Eckerd Living Center.
