CentraCare is now hiring a casual LPN or CMA to provide medical care for incarcerated individuals at the Wright County jail in Buffalo, MN. The LPN or CMA will be a member of a multi-disciplinary team that provides medical services for inmates within the jail. Inmates may need mental health care, addiction medicine services (including detoxification), basic care for general or acute illnesses or injuries, maternity care, medication management, and much more.
Schedule: Casual minimum of 16 hours every 4 weeks. Pay: LPN starting pay $21.41 ($20.20 + 6% jail premium $1.21) and $2,500 hiring bonus. CMA starting pay $20.25 per hour ($19.11 + 6% jail premium $1.14) and $2,000 hiring bonus. Qualifications: Licensed Practical Nurse Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Minnesota required. Certified Medical Assistant Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program. Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) with one of the following: Must provide proof of pass notification prior to start with verification of official certification or registration within 3 months of exam date. American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA). American Medical Technologists (AMT). Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA). National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). National Healthcareer Association (NHA). National Association for Health Professionals, Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA). Nationally Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA). Additional Qualifications: Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required per established policy. Ability to understand patients' medical records, physician orders, and medication orders to be communicated to the patient and staff. BCA and county background check required. To be eligible for the hiring bonus, you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full-time or part-time benefited position. Previous CentraCare employees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire.
