Sidney Regional Medical Center is searching for a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. This is a full-time position within our Physician's Clinic. This is a great opportunity to join the SRMC team. This is an 8-5 Monday through Friday position.
Job Responsibilities: Using the nursing process and SRMC resources, provides patient care and/or services as directed by the Provider.Utilizes knowledge of disease, illness, and injury when providing care.Assists in promoting a safe, effective care environment conducive to the optimal health and dignity of the patient.Communicates patient status and changes in patient status to the Provider in a timely manner through concise, appropriate communication and documentation.Documents according to protocol in medical records all services that are performed for patients.Assists with patient referrals to Physicians, Dentists, Optometrists, and other services when indicated.Sets up and helps clean exam rooms and assists Providers in exam rooms; helps with setting up of clinic(s).Administers medications and treatments following established protocols.Performs CLIA waived tests available within the RHC as ordered by the provider. Monitors and records response to medications, treatments, and procedures accurately and legibly.Using standardized teaching tools, counsels' patients in groups or one-to-one basis on topics designated by the Provider.Cross-trained for duties in such areas as the EKG administration, Lab, Family Planning, Nurse Educator and Telephone Triage, in-house Drug Assistance ProgramProvides care appropriate for the neonate and the pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients served based on demonstrated knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span.Respond to common inquires or complaints from patients or regulatory agencies. Return patient phone calls in a timely manner. Assist patients with requests for medication refills through the electronic medical record. Medications refills are approved by providers.Supports Medication Aids through adding verbal orders from providers into the electronic medical record.Assist with training and provide daily direction to Medication Aids.Follow up on any patient status changes reported by the Medication Aid.Works with the scheduling team, reporting when scheduling delays or changes happen.Works with team members on other assigned projects.Other duties as assigned. Education & Experience: Graduate of an accredited School of NursingMust be a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of NebraskaOne year of Clinical or related experience preferred.Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate or Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certificate requiredAutomated External Defibrillator (AED) training required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Reliable and timely attendanceStrong customer service skills, both in-person and over the phoneStrong team playerAbility to keep information confidential and protect patient information Sidney Regional Medical Center is an EEO Employer/Vet/Disabled
