Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) / Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Job Specialty: Long Term Care (LTC) Job Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Mid 5x8-Hour (3:00 PM - 11:00 PM); Night 3x12-Hour (11:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours per 2 weeks Experience: 1 year in LTC License: AK LVN/LPN License Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have: LTC Experience Job Description: - Provide care for patients in a Long Term Care facility.- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.- Monitor patients' health and report any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure cohesive patient care.- Document patient care and update records accurately using Epic charting system.- Maintain communication with patients' families regarding care plans and status.- Adhere to facility policies and procedures to ensure safe and effective patient care.
Additional Information: - No on-call required.- Traveler's permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility.- Temporary housing and a rental vehicle are provided for the duration of the assignment.- Pets are not allowed in provided housing.- The facility does not accommodate a block schedule.- Time off requests are approved on an individual basis upon offer.- Travelers must be willing to work 2 out of the 3 major holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year.- If travelers have worked as permanent staff, they must be separated for at least 3 months prior to working as a traveler.
