Machine Learning Engineer
for a
leading global fintech company . Join us to leverage the power of Machine Learning and AI to enhance Compliance controls and operations on a global scale.
You'll join the Compliance Technology team to develop and operationalize Machine Learning and Large Language Models (LLMs) that advance our compliance capabilities. This is a
4-6 month contract opportunity. The role is located in
San Francisco , and is
fully remote .
Machine Learning Engineer Responsibilities:
Develop and Productionize Models:
Hands-on development, production, and operation of Machine Learning and LLM models and pipelines at scale.
Contribute to Compliance ML Models:
Work on ML models for Compliance, focusing on the integration of Machine Learning and LLM technologies.
Collaborate with Teams:
Partner with senior engineers, compliance stakeholders, and other teams to identify and address new use cases for ML and AI to enhance Compliance controls and operations.
Machine Learning Engineer Skills Must Haves:
Expert Python Proficiency:
Extensive experience developing, testing, and maintaining complex Python applications, with a strong grasp of both mathematical and conceptual aspects of machine learning.
Deep ML Knowledge:
In-depth understanding of machine learning techniques and concepts, including supervised and unsupervised learning, and practical experience with DNNs in scikit-learn and PyTorch.
LLM Expertise:
Familiarity with Large Language Models, including Transformers, Prompt Engineering, Fine-Tuning, and Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAGs).
API Development:
Experience with FastAPI (with asyncio) and other Python API development frameworks.
Nice to Haves:
Additional Tools:
Familiarity with Ray, Databricks, Snowflake, and Golang.
Past Experience:
ML Algorithm Development:
Experience in developing ML algorithms in both offline and production environments.
API Development for ML Models:
Proven experience in developing APIs in Python to serve ML models.
LLM Experience:
Experience working with Large Language Models.
Education:
BA/BS Degree:
Degree in a quantitative field (e.g., Math, Statistics, Physics, Quantitative Finance, Computer Science) with 3+ years of relevant experience, or
Master's Degree:
Degree in a related field with 2+ years of relevant experience, or
Ph.D. Degree:
Degree in a related field with 1+ years of relevant experience.
