As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will work on designing, developing, and implementing machine learning models and algorithms. This includes developing techniques to augment Large Language Models such as GPT-4 and BARD with retrieval techniques and tools, as well as fine-tuning those models for specific tasks. You will collaborate closely with the founding team who have a strong track record of building industry-defining machine learning and analytics products.

About the Role: As a Machine Learning Engineer, you will design, develop, and implement machine learning models and algorithms. This includes developing techniques to augment and fine-tune Large Language Models (both open-source and proprietary) with retrieval techniques and tools. You will work in a tight-knit team, closely collaborating with the founding team.
Job FunctionRapidly prototype ideas using large language models and develop ML solutions by fine-tuning these models and augmenting them with retrieval.Utilize expertise in information retrieval, search ranking, and natural language processing to develop these solutions.Implement effective data processing techniques to ensure high-quality input for the machine learning models.Conduct thorough evaluations of machine learning models, considering factors such as accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.Stay updated on the latest advancements in large language model research, integrating relevant findings into our projects.Qualifications:Master's or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, or a related field.5-10 years of experience in applied machine learning, focusing on search, recommendations, and information retrieval.Strong programming skills in Python and experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch and TensorFlow.Strong understanding of NLP techniques.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.Willingness to work onsite 4-5 days a week at our Sunnyvale office.We believe that everyone should be able to bring their whole selves to work, which is why we are proud to be an inclusive and equal opportunity workplace.
