Machine Operator

Description: Machine Operator 2nd Shift 5:15pm - 3:45am (Monday Thursday)
•Sets-up and operate any shop machine in accordance with established procedures and guidelines
•Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, Job Orders, routers and diagrams to select dies, position, and secure machinery
•Adheres to operating procedures/instructions
•Adjusts machine settings to complete tasks per specification to run job orders accurately and maximize productivity
•Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisors
•Communicate process and quality improvements via internal system
•Maintain a clean and safe work station; follow shop 5S system
•Ability to read and perform basic math skills including counting
•Ability to use various tools including tape measure, dial caliper, and other hand tools
•Must have a good command of the English language, both written and spoken
•Basic reading skills for understanding drawings, Job Orders, and specs
•Able to follow directions
•Strong manual dexterity
Additional Skills & Qualifications: - Ability to read blueprints or work instructions
- 1+ years of machine Operating or Manufacturing
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Performing machine set ups
- Utilizing micrometers, calipers and gages
- Operating Slitter machinery
