Build your future with us Our Machinery and Equipment Specialties department seeks a field engineer to provide machinery and equipment boiler inspections. This position is in our Atlanta, Georgia territory and can be filled by a trainee or experienced field engineer.
Starting Pay: The pay range for this position is $66,150 - $110,250 annually. The pay determination is based on the applicant's education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
Be ready to: Maintain territory's jurisdictional boiler and pressure vessel certificate inspectionsEfficiently and effectively manage the territory for which you are responsibleEducate agents on how to market machinery and equipment to their clientsServe as a professional resource to our insurance agents as they retain business and increase the value of their marketing effortsProvide high level of claims service to our local independent insurance agentsBe equipped with: Solid interpersonal communication skillsThe ability to react professionally under stressful situations in order to successfully resolve issuesThe ability to work independently without close supervisionThe ability to effectively interact and work well with different departments at our companyThe ability to prepare meaningful and precise reportsField engineer trainees should also be equipped with: An engineering or technically-based bachelor's degree or other qualifying boiler and pressure vessel work experienceThe ability to work independently to accomplish initiativesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsStrong interpersonal skillsExcellent problem-solving, negotiation, organizational, and prioritization skillsStrong proficiency in Microsoft Office tools and related softwareA willingness to travel regularly within the territory to meet job demandsValid driver's licenseExperienced field engineers should also be equipped with: Machinery and equipment experience within a property and casualty insurance company (preferred)A strong knowledge of machinery and equipment, equipment breakdown coverages, corresponding business lines, regulations, and consensus standards (preferred)A bachelor's degree applicable to the position responsibilities or related experience and trainingA national board commission or have the necessary qualifications to promptly acquire itStrong consultative, organizational, and presentation skillsA demonstrated pursuit of continuing educationValid driver's licenseEnhance your talents Providing outstanding service and developing strong relationships with our independent agents are hallmarks of our company.
