The Team: We are seeking an exceptionally talented individual to join our Global Trading Strategies team as a Macro Trader in FX & Fixed Income. Candidates should be ambitious and enthusiastic about implementing new ideas and possess the ability to work both individually and in a team setting.
Your Role: Execute trades in major Macro markets, ensuring adherence to PM intention as well as our best execution and risk management protocolAnalyze transaction costs and develop strategies to minimize trading expensesWork with large data sets to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement in trading strategies or technologyCollaborate with colleagues in Trading & Engineering to optimize trading workflows and enhance operational efficiencyUtilize coding skills to automate processes and improve data analysis capabilitiesPrepare and present insights to the trading team based on analytical findingsStay updated on market trends and economic indicators that may impact trading strategiesWhat You'll Bring: Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related field2 to 5 years of experience in Macro Trading, specifically in FX or RatesStrong analytical skills with a solid understanding of transaction costs and their implicationsProficiency in coding (Python, R, or similar) and advanced numeracy skillsExperience working with large data sets and familiarity with data visualization toolsWho You Are: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentStrong attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solvingResourceful and well-organized with the ability to multi-task and work within tight timeframesStrong sense of integrity, consistent with AQR's values and core principlesCompensation and Benefits: The salary range for this role is expected to be $140,000 to $160,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is accurate for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, depending upon factors such as skills, experience, location, or other business and organizational needs. This wage range may also be modified in the future.
This job is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.
