Job Responsibilities: Optimization of MRI Data Acquisition using the insert gradient coilEvaluate and refine protocols for MRI acquisitionTest and compare different acquisition strategies to improve image quality and efficiencyCollaborate with the team to implement optimized acquisition methods in clinical settingsIntegration of Dynamic Field Camera DataAnalyze dynamic field camera data to identify potential artifacts or inconsistenciesDevelop methods to correct for or reduce artifacts using this additional dataWork with engineers to ensure accurate synchronization between field camera data and MRI acquisition systemsCollaboration in Multidisciplinary ResearchRegularly communicate with neuroscientists to understand clinical requirementsIntegrate MRI acquisition techniques with post-processing and analysis tools developed by the teamContribute to interdisciplinary discussions to ensure MRI protocols are tailored to clinical research goalsDevelopment of clinically Translatable MRI ToolsWork on implementing robust reconstruction algorithms that ensure accurate clinical interpretation of MRI dataValidate the tools developed by testing them in clinical scenarios or in preclinical studiesEnsure that the developed tools can be easily integrated into clinical workflowsPost-Processing and Analysis CollaborationProvide input on how data acquisition impacts post-processing workflowsAdjust acquisition strategies to improve the efficacy of post-processing algorithmsDevelop tools or pipelines that enhance the connection between acquisition and post-processing stagesDevelopment of Experiential ProtocolsSet up experiments to test MRI acquisition techniques on phantoms or human subjectsAnalyze experimental results and adjust protocols as neededEnsure experimental protocols meet clinical standardsMaintain electronic laboratory notebook to document all work performed using LabArchives platformRequired Qualifications: Doctorate degree in engineering, physics or related field is preferredThree (3) years of postdoctoral experience working in a research environment, or equivalent experience in industryExpertise in MRI pulse sequence programming, with preference for GE and Philips systems is requiredFamiliarity with at least one programming or scripting language such as C/C++, Matlab, and Python is desirableDeep familiarity with Linux-based computational environmentPrevious work experience with common quantitative structural MRI techniques, such as diffusion MRI, perfusion MRI, and relaxometry is desirablemPower, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
