Job Summary (Basic Functions):  LG Chem is actively seeking aMaintenance Engineerfor our new state of the art cathode material manufacturing plant in Clarksville, TN. This role will be an individual contributor working alongside the Production team. The maintenance engineer will be responsible for the overall maintenance and repair of machinery and equipment in the facility & building ensuring all equipment operates efficiently and meets safety standards. TheMaintenance Engineerwill work closely with other departments to minimize downtime and improve the reliability of equipment.
This is an exciting role with the prospect for growth as the company seeks to expand its American footprint. In this role, you will be a maintenance technical expert, develop maintenance plans, procedures, and training to support our operations team achieve key performance indicators related to safety, quality and cost. 

This position is based full time in Clarksville, TN and is not a remote role.

What You'll Be Doing

Essential Functions (include but are not limited to):
Maintenance Engineering:  
Review PEFS (P&ID, wiring diagram, ETC), Procedure, O&M and installation Manuals submitted by the expansion team and equipment suppliers, project documentation for safe start up, and lead the technical effort of the design for the reliability of the project documentation.
Maintain accurate documentation for equipment, and maintenance activities. to ensure all equipment technical records and drawings are updated to reflect the latest changes.
Remove old equipment or machinery when it is obsolete or no longer repairable
Install new equipment or machinery (Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment.)
Provide day-to-day hands-on maintenance and troubleshooting solution including contractor/ specialist management for all maintenance related matters.
Maintain work requests and records on maintenance works using computerized maintenance management systems(lamp).
Troubleshoot equipment, machinery and systems when they fail to operate.
Manage a maintenance budget and control department expenditures.
Network with other engineers on site and within the multi-national business to share knowledge on plant O&M and technologies.
Attend Standby Duty callout to an Emergency work upon request.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Data Analysis:
Analyze and interpret equipment system data to identify potential issues and optimize equipment performance.
Conduct Failure mode effect analysis or similar risk-based assessment, Purchasing components, Spare and other supplies as necessary

Budgeting:
Compile maintenance and budget reports for management.

Safety:
Comply with HSSE standards to make workplace a safe place to work, and accountable for all assigned Critical activities.
Perform Authorized Applicant and/or Authorized Engineer as per Permit to Work (e-PTW) requirement.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience: What We're Looking For
Competencies/Desired Skills:
Professional Knowledge:Possession of a designated level of mechanical equipment engineering skills or knowledge and the ability to keep up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise. May be acquired through academic, apprenticeship or on-the-job training or a combination of these. Possession of knowledge of statutes/codes/regulations, including understanding of governing codes, industry standards (API, ASME, ISO) and local laws.
Engineering Review, Decision Making& Analysis:Knowledge of and ability to use effective approaches for choosing a course of action or developing appropriate solutions and/or reaching conclusions. Ability to make decisions and take action consistent with available facts, constraints, and anticipated consequences. Identify issues, obtain relevant information, relate and compare data from different sources, and identify alternate solutions.
Communication:Ability to communicate, in written and oral form, detailed and technical engineering information,guidelines and standards/statutes/codes/regulations to various audiences to ensure that the information and message are understood, and to seek compliance. Ability to deliver presentations suited to the characteristics and needs of the audience such as negotiating solutions among different parties, or providing expert support.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Manufacturing/Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering experience.

Requirements:
5 or more years of related experience maintaining manufacturing equipment for Chemical, Petrochemical industry or related powder industry
Ability toWork multiple shifts, including weekends, or be asked to work supplemental hours andParticipate in on-call rotation.
Strong experience and understanding of engineering, maintenance and operation of static mechanical equipment, powder or calcination processing facilities highly desired.
Travel Requirement: Up to 2 times should be expected with this role (Period: 1~4 weeks).

Preferred Qualification/What We'd Like to See:
Skilled in remote partnership and collaboration
Accomplished in risk management in operating facilities
Proven track record of multi-functional engineering improvements
Experience with design, operational issues, solving and repair
Experience in working with OEMs and vendors on equipment packages
Experience with piping designs and supports, stress analysis using Caesar, flanged joint designs, integrity assessment and repairs, industry codes and standards (API, ASME, ISO)
Experience with equipment skid packages design, front end engineering, scoping, technical evaluation.
